This Week in Dating –(Week 8) Kiss me, Honey, Kiss me
Maybe you remember Shirley Bassey singing “Kiss me, Honey, Honey, Kiss me“.
“I’d like to play a little game with you
A little game that’s special made for two
If you got close than I will show you how
Closer, closer now“
Rather hot, isn’t it? So kisses meant a lot in those days. But now, 2009, kisses a rather cheap, and the “little game“ is well-known by most people. But according to a poll made by German online matchmaker Elite-Partner, about 50 percent of our women think that kissing is cheating – adultery, so to say. A German tabloid even asked a priest, whether kissing is a sin or not – and he said yes – if one of the parters is married. By the way: Bay mir bisse sheyn is a good start for a relationsship. Bette than sex advice by „mother and daughter„, I presume.
So, folks: it’s carnival in Germany. If you are able to watch German TV, you might think that we have carnival everywhere , every day– but this is untrue. But most dating where under the influence of carnival an reported what to wear or not – even we played that game. So there are Suebian Ladies who dress up as Dominatrices in those days and nurses with short skirts and even female pirates.
So far about Carnival – you should not dress up in your birthday suite if you go to a carnival party.- one of our female TV-detectives bare all for Playboy, but as she is hardly known in Europe (except in Germany), we did not care much – but what we have to say is that woman around 40 can be very beautiful.
The sensation this week: the European operations of Match.com have been sold to the french company Meetic for about 5 million Euros and a 27-percent stake. We really don’t know by now what this will mean fur the customers and employees of both companies, But what is for sure, is that match, com was successful in Europa, but could have been even more successful if they would act like Europeans – which they did not. It might be that this is the reason for the deal. For those who don’t know the name “Meetic“: In Germany, they bought “neu.de“ and “partner.de“.
Competition is hard – and so is our business. EiltePartner has just been named as the “best“ German Dating company by n-tv, a German tv-Station- but so far, we could no really figure out why. Although there is no doubt they are among the top five, we really could not find out why the possibility to buy a membership for less than one month brought them on top.
Anyway – it is still carnival, folks. Have a good time, wherever you are.
