This Week 2/2009 in Dating – US-Rules and Angels
This week in dating is difficult – because most of the news came from the USA. So they have pickup-artists, dating rules and even a women who wants to find her man during 2009 using the world wide web – but in a slightly different way – she created a promotion campaign to find her man.
A common example why the rules of your PUA´s do not work in Germany can be found in approaching a girl in a bar – not only, because we don´t have that kind of bars, but because German ladies don´t spend their evenings in bars to get hooked up – except a view, how expect “a little present“. On the other hand, it may be good to learn how to approach ladies in the USA – the “financial times“ reported how to date a lady over there.
Our German SPIEGEL TV took over a report about dating from the USA and claimed that the same rules apply everywhere. The problem was, that the people dating in the report didn´t match from the beginning – which may happen everywhere, but in the report, it has been used as an example to improve dating. But why should one “improve“ dating when he doesn´t like his partner? It would have been better not to sepend a dinner for the lady, because it was just wasting time toi meet her. For me, it was quite close to our “Bauer sucht Frau“ done by RTL, where they try to match farmers with city girls
Mentioning the USA, British newspapers claimed that Hollywood movies (and some UK movies as well) “steal their hearts“ because they create illusions about love. The only thing I can say is: How about Cinderella then? Doesn´t the fairy tale crate illusions as well?
Yes, it was a USA week this week – and I wrote a lot about the 42-year-old lady, who wants to find “her man“ within 52 weeks – which means: this year. She created a website and a blog – and uses both as public relation – she is a media consultant, so she will gain popularity anyway.
So is there nothing new in Germany?
Not really. We have a lot of holidays round about Christmas, especially in the south, where the 6th of January is free, and most people used the whole week for holidays there. So we just had the usual press releases. One was really funny because it said that consumer tests don´t make sense – because all the information has been taken from the websites of the matchmakers. So what else does not make sense? Anonymous telephone numbers for the faint at heart?
Probably someone might create “Dating Anonymous“ in the future. By the way, did you read my predict for 2009? If not, please read it now. It is not the same as my article about 2008 in English. And indeed, there is some news about the messages angels might have prepared for you – the news is from Luxemburg. It´s really interesting to know that the same girls who claim to connect you with your angle to enhance your spiritual life do telephone sex on other lines – and some of them even do in on the same line.
Anyway – have a good time and please: Do not export your dating rules from the USA to Europe – and not vice-versa as well. And even if you think we just stare at girls: we meet them elsewhere, not in bars.
